BC Sweet Tooth vs Mendocino Purps

Deep physical relaxation is the order of the day with this indica-dominant hybrid (sativa/indica ratio unclear). It’s probably a cross of the Canadian BC Sweet Tooth and the California original Mendocino Purps, both indica-dominant hybrids. This strain has THC levels that can reach at least 19%, while CBD numbers are negligible, much less than 1%.

The body-centered high is calming and euphoric, with a boost of happiness. It can also lead to a powerful case of the munchies, which makes it great for fighting eating disorders and wasting conditions. Purple Candy can also be used to treat anxiety, depression, fatigue, migraines and other headaches, and insomnia. Use this as a nighttime strain, as it can induce powerful couch-lock.

The smoke from this strain tastes of grapes and honey, while the buds smell of grapes, honey, and roses. The bud is a colorful blend of purple, amber, and green, all of it covered by dense, shimmering trichomes. Purple Candy comes with some of the usual side effects: Dry mouth and red eyes are common while headaches, dizziness, and paranoia are less likely.

  1. This is probably my favourite strain so far (since I’ve started paying more attention to that sort of thing, maybe only the past year or so, despite being a smoker for around 15-20 years). I tried it at my step Dad’s house and had him refer me to this site so I could order some. Thus far every smoke has been excellent. It’s a pretty mild buzz, but for me has been very euphoric and heady. Lots of light mood and giggles with friends and family. The major thing for me was that with many strains I find two things, 1) my mind goes nuts and cant stop racing (this can be good and bad depending on what I want to do while I’m high – great for recording music, bad for watching a movie), and 2) I have chronically sore legs and I find many strands make that pain more intense and cause me to be quite fidgety with my legs, making things far worse. This baddie does neither of those. It’s totally mellow and merry and provides perfect relaxation for bedtime smokes as well. Highly recommended if anything I’ve mentioned sounds good to you!

    Thanks BCP!
